Was lucky enough to get these from the original owner. 24" bass drum and 2 snares. According to the owner, he saw and talked to Louie Belleson on a regular basis and let Louie play the Rogers hardware drum one night. Louie was so blown away that he asked to use it for the remaining week's gig. Not just a maybe, I saw a note from Louie to this gentleman inviting him to see him play and to get tickets from "Remo", meaning Remo Belli, signed Peace and Love, Louie.

What I was not able to get was the 4 Pearl concert toms in WMP that Louie gave to the gentleman as a gift. They will be for sale on eBay soon I'm sure.

That's what I mentioned to Gary when he contacted me about these drums. The 24" Blaemire bass drums are very rare. Allen hated making these big old bass drums. ;-)

The gentleman was a local (So. Calif.) who played in different bands. Didn't meet him as he is currently in a convalescent home in poor health due to diabetes. I know where he is and plan to make a trip soon. According to him when we talked on the phone, Allen made the Rogers snare personally.

Glenn, the toms are late 60's Slingerland, 13 & 16. No other Blaemires except the 2 snares and bass drum. Did get 2 Atlas stands, cases for the drums and some odds and ends. Some of them being a NOS Rogers BlackJack beater and 6 pairs of Louie's sticks that Louie gave to the original owner, assorted snare parts, numerous drum keys and some new drumheads. Ask EminentDestiny about the bass drum, it's a boomer!
