Blaemire in the mail! Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Look what came in the mail for me today! I am stoked. The craftsmanship is very nice. It comes in a fleece lined bag and includes a Jenkins-Martin T-Shirt. Very classy. Now the problem is that I am heading out of town the first thing in the morning and will be out for a week and a half. It is going to be ten whole days before I can play this thing! Regardless, I cannot wait to report on how it sounds.

When I do get the chance I will be sure to report on how it sounds. It will be going to a festival with my backline gear next weekend with one of my techs. Hopefully some young guns will try it out and like it. Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys that regularly use backline have ever had a Blaemire snare as an on site option?

Thanks Jerry and Dave! And thanks to Purdie for talking these up so much.

One bit of attention to detail that I really like (and I am a detail guy) is the fact that they have use a pale green grosgrain ribbon for the snares and therefore it matches the fiberglass shell. Excellent! Excited

Very cool Scott...glad you got it!~

Looking forward to getting feedback from drummers that try it out at the festival.

I just shipped another one of these to the Drum Doctor in Los Angeles. I went in there to work on Joey Waronkers J-M Blaemire concert toms ( changed out the original Blaemire lugs for our new ones) and Ross sat down with one of our 7X13's and got that big WTFunk look on his face and said he would like to have one for back line rentals. He is going to be selling them as well if some one has interest after playing.

Enjoy it Scott!

Congrats, Squint! You (and any of the drummers who get to play it,) are in for a real treat. If ever there was a snare drum meant to be played on a 'live' stage, it's this one. The tone, volume and 'feel' that drummers look and listen for is all there and just makes the drum 'feel good' to play. Jerry and Dave outdid themselves, this is a first class series of drums that anyone from novice to pro's can appreciate. I'm loving mine. The sound of these drums is -PURE-, almost like Japanese Taiko drums... warm, resonant, and physical. You can 'feel the notes/tones' in your body as you play. I feel my bass drum in my chest every time I tap the pedal.

No BS... Blaemire drums are what I imagine God would play!

That one is a beauty... enjoy!

Scott (the 'other' Scott!) just completed a restoration on another 6.5"x14" with Imperials and Ludwig hardware. I'd really love to hear them side by side, your new one and Scott's resto, old and new. It'd make a cool sound-file comparison.

Review as soon as you get a chance, squint. I'm waiting to hear your take on these fiberglass shells.

Cool, Im happy for you. I was lucky to be able to play their drums at the Chicago drum show every year, they are sweet! Even a beginner like me sound pretty good on them.

I am really looking forward to getting a chance to spend some time with this drum. I will say on first inspection that the manufacturing is top notch.
