Black Galaxy Acrolite dating

I can't seem to find a dating guide on the B&W badged Ludwig Black Galaxy Acrolite. Mine's 6291837. Any info appreciated, thanks!

Acrolite drums finished in Black Galaxy are considered modern Ludwig drums. They came out with that finish in and around 1994 and lasted up until just a couple of years ago. There may be an ink date stamp inside the shell, other than that, no real way to date the drum. Values are all over the place depending upon condition, but figure on the lower end of the acrolite scale, since they are not considered vintage, just used.

I'm well aware it's not real old. I got like new for $50 about 5 years ago and not looking to sell. Very happy with it! Was just curious about a dating system for that era.

I never found any SN#/date chart either. Mine is 6240761. Case, stand and snare in near new condition for $70. Well worth it. Only Ludwig drum I own :-)
