Black Diamond or Light Blue?

Loading...

I think it's faded light blue. Your thoughts?

(The picture doesn't show why I'd have thought it was Black Diamond very well. This was taken in direct sunlight, so maybe that answers the question for me.)

I would concur....the old blue tends to fade olive or slate grey...

More pics (and yes, they're mine. New project. Need some parts, legs and such, but mostly needs TLC.)

That white thing on the floor tom is a lug! That was one where a screw broke off when I removed it from the shell. It's like it's covered in caulk or something. Very strange, but the the shell beneath is ok.

(Bad picture, but you get the idea. That side is really faded.)

Yeah, it's 13/16/22. Would love to find a matching Super Krupa (but wouldn't love to pay for it. LOL) I was hoping they'd be jazz sizes for a change, but I'm not complaining. (Hell, they are jazz sizes if you're Gene Krupa or Joe Morello.)

I really can't wait to get these up and running. Have to be patient on the parts I need plus I got at least one ring to reglue. But I really want to hear these suckers.

Definitely Lt. Blue Pearl. Here's a recent shot of my Artist snare which came with my first set purchased in 1965. It's gray/greened nicely?? !

That set will sound great!
