Big Snare Little Snare

This is the first time I have put anything in the Image Gallery.

But Mike was talking about making a HUGE bass drum size snare, so I pulled up the pic.

To those who have seen this already.........here it is again...sorry.......

it's neat.

9 by 18 Blaemire Snare with a LM400 for size reference.

Amber FG shell with light Ruby Red Tint and laquer.

BTW, this is an old pic. The blue snare wires "Really WIRES" are long gone. Replaced with Ludwig yellow snare cord.

Cheeses, Mary & Joseph! You could play the Enormo-dome unmic'd with that thing. It must be loud as all get out. How responsive is a big drum like that one?

The snare wires are Pure Sound, Vintage Series, PJ 1416.

Made for a Pearl Jupiter.

They are 16 1/2" long.

16 strand.

Rims are die cast Gretsch.
