That's beautiful! I have a modern production 20x18 ft that mercifully takes tom size collars...it just takes 6 weeks to get them from Remo. The bandmates tell me it shakes the air in the room when I lay into it. 4 legs is a pain, but it's a small price to pay for on-demand thunder.:D

It will be on the hat side of my 26,14,16,18 in Mahogany when I get done with the 14,16, and 18.
Gonna do some marquetry inlay stuff from that link you sent me.
Either wood hoops all around with the custom inlays or an inlay at the center of each shell, I haven't decided which yet.
