Best heads for my Ludwig 1969

Loading...

Hi.

For my Big Beat Ludwig from 1969... witch heads sounds "best"???

( I know thats matter of personal test... but ..let me try)

I have been thinking to put on toms, batter side Coated Remo Emperror and on resonant side, Claer Remo Ambassador...

Coated - thats was usualy back in 60:s/70:s, emperros to get it warmer and more punchy. And clear on resosnatside , to make tom drums "vibrate" easyer .

For BB I allreadybought a Ludwigs fron head, and I have a Remo ambassador as batter head.

Is that good choice? I actually play funk and fusion... so I acctualy do not want original sound from 60:s.

If you use that search feature on the gray bar and type in "heads" you will have a nice evening of reading and have a ton of very educated opinions to pick from...

Not a Guru... just interested..
