I recently purchased a Besson snare shell and I am looking for hardware. If you know of any good sources for Besson drum hardware, please let me know. The seller told me the drum is from the 20's and it measures about 14.5" in diameter, so getting rims and heads may be a bit of a trick. Please help if you can.

For the heads, you've got a couple of options:
#1 - Have Remo make a few custom sized heads (it takes "6-8 weeks", which turns into "6-8 months"). Last time I checked, Evans doesn't do any custom sizes.
#2 - Just get an open wood hoop, close it over the shell, and tuck a calf head. It's a fun project, and in my opinion, a hell of a lot easier than banging your head against the wall with Remo.
