Bass drum "T" rod spacer sleeves

Here's something I found while on a quest for some spacers to go between the T handle and claw on one of my vintage sets. I found these craft "beads" (or more correctly "bead spacers") on ebay. They are 8mm x 8mm with a 5-6 mm hole through the center. They are made of stainless steel and they are relatively cheap. They look nice too and stainless kind of works with either nickel or chrome plating.

Anyway, just a heads up if you have a need for something like this. They worked great for my application and look "correct". Much nicer than a stack of washers or a plain steel or nylon spacer sleeve.

Thanks for the tip K.O.. I just ordered some. I was using some black plastic washers before and they didn't look right. I think these new ones will.

Is it 6$ a piece? The description doesn't say that I can tell. That seems steep to me. But if it's for multiple, ok..

Just bought 30 for under $10.00. I'm fine with that. It's very cool this thread came up, as I want to put T-handle rods on my retro-Rockstars w/ Accu-Tune hoops.

I bought 30 of them for just under $10 shipped. I'm not sure what the other pricing options might be but I wouldn't pay more than a buck apiece (if even that much). I'm sure these come out of China or Taiwan and are probably super cheap in bulk. Someone with an entrepreneurial streak could probably do okay buying these in bulk and reselling them labeled as "T" rod spacers (probably getting a buck apiece).

I also recently found that standard 5mm washers are almost exactly the same thing as washers sold as tension rod washers in music stores. I found and bought a bag of 100 in stainless steel on ebay for under $5 shipped while in the music stores the same sort of washers are $5 or more for a packet of 10.

I'm "cheap" but resourceful ;)

BTW: If you search on ebay there are some other designs available. I picked the ones I did based on the price and the fact they shipped from the USA. I didn't go with these shown below because they ship out of China and I wanted to get them quickly to finish up a project, but the ones on the lower right look very much like the original spacers Slingerland used.
