Badges on floor toms

Loading...

Hi,

I just joined this forum and this is my very first post! And I have a question:

Did Slingerland ever make drums without badges/airholes? I have a 1965 set (which I still play) and it has a 14" X 14" floor tom with a badge/airhole. I recently came across a 16" X 16" floor that I'm interested in, but it has no badge, and I am skeptical. Is this really Slingerland, or a knock-off?

Thanks.

Yes, it is common.. Just search this forum for your topic and see what comes up.. We have discussed this before...

Look at the shell, lugs and hoops, it should be clear if it is Slingerland..

The early drums did not have badges on the toms..
