It's weird that we are all suckers for old sparkle drums but in reality, i think that the same kit in a white wrap wouldn't fetch $125. That being said, i like it and it probably will sound good.

Keep fixing them up...

Looks pretty good. Hard to pass up a drum set that will actually play well at the $300 mark. Bearing edges that are showing look good.

Here we go, the kit sounded good, so good that I'll probably use it as my main gigging kit and leave the C&C for special gigs.

The kit looks really nice Mark. What is the wrap, faded silver or gold sparkle? What ever it is I like it.

Thank you!

It's a kind of ginger-ale glass glitter finish. That's what attracted me to them and I like the 13,16,20 configuration. I had my sights on a Rogers red onyx with a 12,13,16,20, but the wrap has some serious cracking and the owner was not willing to budge much on the price, so I decided to save some cash and go with this one. I've had a few MIJ kits over the years so I knew they could sound good with the right head combination. The toms came with the black dots and a Powestroke on the kick.
