Astro blue onyx snare drum

I'm almost done with the restoration of this drum. It's been in the basement for quite a while waiting to get put back together (about 6 months...) But I recently found an original strainer locally, didn't have to deal with ebay, so I guess my patience, or laziness, sorta paid off.

The only thing it needs is the snare butt end, which I'll be ordering online, and then it will be up and running. As it is now, it sounds very warm and resonant.

It was kind of hard to photograph, the flash always makes the blue look lighter than it really is, but what can you do?

Very nice snare!!...That is a cool wrap....Great job on the resto BTW....Sometimes patience does pay off!!
