From blairndrums

His English sure is better then my French!

Better than your French?? I'm more impressed that the English demonstrated by our European members is often better than our English!

So language was the Bad-bel tower's main problem...

This is the only place i wrote on the net cause this is so good in term of quality and passionated members.

In few month i learn a lot of thing on MIJ drums. And i'm always enjoying when my collection grew with rare kits.

I proud to have saved some kits from destruction (or so) like the Gary and Meazzi Joly, thoses kits are now in hands of people who know on what they're playing on. Instruments.

So thanks to all the members who create/support this site, thanks to all the vintage drums gurus.

And be proud of one thing: this is international!

Love and merry Xmas & happy new year!

Eric

Walstib: that 8-lugger WMP is really noble. Is there a 'matching lug-number' snare drum with it, too?

And thanx for the latest pic.

You should initiate a new posting:

'Show us your strange(st) drum stools, please' Excited

(Sorry, I don't have one to add - but it would be funny, as I guess that here should be lots of historical documents/ pics flying around x-mas3 ).

Merry Xmas to everybody here. It's a great pleasure & honour for me to be part of this big and great community, Sirs!

Arai and Aria are both Hoshino brands - in Denmark, we had Aria, and Santana. In Germany there was Luxor.

Perhaps we have a small result of the BIG european history here?

Perhaps, for some reason, the company importing or selling Hoshinos in France didn´t like the associations "Aria" could give - Nazi Germany, and the talk of the supremacy of the Aryan race was only some 30 years ago, and possibly still fresh in peoples memories?

Maybe - I don´t know. Pure speculation.
