This is my drummers set. He's had it for about a year. The man we bought it from said it was from the late 70s/early 80. After being on this site for about 2 weeks and seeing lots of Premier sets and reading info on Premier stuff- i'm seriously starting to doubt this set is that old.

I'm thinking its from the mid 90's.

Even if it isn't old it's ok- he didn't buy it because he thought it was vintage- he got it because it was cheap. $125 for just the orange shells. And the tom mounts have ball sockets, which i've never seen. Pretty cool set. Sounds nice!

Whatcha think guys?

Drums aren't black inside. Also, I shouldn't mention- these drums were originally purple. Previous owner painted them orange.

Sorry dude- these aren't my drums, can't letcha have badges.

I'm sure there are lots of guys who can give a more definitive answer than me, but I don't think the "dotted i" logo or badge was in use before the late 1980s.

Regardless of age, it's kinda hard to go wrong on these for $125.

Those sure do look like Projectors. If so, they are 100% birch and one of the top of the line kits. They aren't classified as a vintage kit, but man oh man, they are sweet. Great grab!

The badges just look "newer" after all the ones I've seen on this site.

My buddy says he wishes he could get a matching Premier snare to go with the kit. Too bad that's impossible unless he paints one orange! He said instead one day he'd like to get a black, white, or chrome Premier snare. He bought a black sparkle Acrlite for $40 on Craigslist tha( he uses with this set! Lucky!

Next band practice I'll take more pics of the set and see if you all can help me identify it. Any specific things I should take pics of?

Really? I had originally thought that, but those bass hoops and hardware seem a tiny bit off to me. I thought the Cabria bass hoops were stained outers with blonde inners. You may be correct. It seems to split which way I lean on this one.

Depending on the shell material, these are either Cabria, Vitria or Astria from the late 90s.
