I have heard the same thing, but my source has a pair of his sticks and they are not 5A's so that is why I have 2A's as my reference. I hope to be getting photos of the originals at some point so I can verify that as well. The topic has been discussed and the debate is 5A or 2A. I have sold plenty of sticks, many of which were drummer labeled or mint original sticks. They did OK on eBay. The market is limited and they are not worth a lot of money.The sticks that bring the big bucks are the Buddy Rich models in the original bags. I would say the Ringo models are in the same ball park.I had original Louie Bellson sticks in the original bags sell for $10.00Krupa, and the original Ludwig Bonham (not labeled but the size) sell pretty good also if you can find clean original pairs.Other name models do well also, but in the $20 - $30 range.
