Hey all,

https://reverb.com/item/22505012-billy-gladstone-set-of-3-badges-50s-60s-gold-brass-silver

I am a badge collector and have never seen these badges before...The price to me seem ridiculous...$1500 each?

Your thoughts?

Cheers

My answer is no. But I do not collect badges and no idea what they would be worth, just not worth it to me.

Thank you!

No. The gold one must be worth $2000. the other two are only worth $1250. But not to me.

I don't know how they could be worth that much when all the known Gladstone drums are already accounted for. It's not like you're ever going to find the rest of the parts to make a Gladstone drum...

.....BUT....They will be worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

Maxwell has three snares in super condition Lang's for sale that together give you these badges. All for less than these listed badges. Sucks they come with a drum and attached keys, but still less.

The only time I ever remove badges from drums are when they are trashed....Usually, cheaper beginner kits...

That's my whole point, a badge should never cost more than the original complete drum it comes with.

I agree with oddball. Certainly collectible but toooooo expensive. I Know nothing about gladstone. Any badge out there is never gonna be worth that amount. Shame they aint on the original drum.

Not all of the 50 known Gladstone Snares are accounted for, these badges are most likely ones that never made it on a drum... no, there won't be any more made, but the cost is insane. IMHO
