A pre serial 602 20" in good condition sells for a little less than 16" in good condition as a general rule. The difference is small: 20" $188 (n=193 sales) vs 16" $192 (n=29 sales). In order to pin it down further you need to know the weights. Once the model ink has gone that's the only way to tell a 20" Thin Crash from a 16" Medium Ride. Charlie Watts used to play a 16" 602 thin crash as far as I am aware and its sound is over many Stones albums. I think that 602 thin crashes that survived for over 50 years are certainly quite rare. Nice find!

Thanks Black Label, I just looked at the 16" crash... the ink is faint but it definitely says 'thin crash' at the 3 o'clock position. It is very clean, the hole is near perfect round, and there is only one small ding around the edge.

If that still has the Thin Crash ink visible then that helps pin down the price estimate. Based on 54 sales (brand new analysis since the numbers I gave last time) the median expected price is $183 with half selling for between $150 and $225. There is lots of variation in sales but price estimates tend to settle down once you have 25 sales. With the ink still visible, you are in the likely $200 to $250 expected range, especially if there are no other structural flaws. It should weigh in under 1000g (give or take) and if you can get a accurate weight for it that would be great for our research. Any units for the weight will do. I can convert.
