They are ASKING that much...doubtful they will sell it for 200. But who knows. Some people think that since it's vintage (old) it's worth a fortune.

For example, I am looking for some parts for a ludwig and some people think their stuff if made from gold. I have 75-80% of the original parts, so I would like to get the remaining items. If I can't find the peices at a reasonable cost, I will get some modern stuff and sell my vintage stuff to someone who is restoring a kit.

the same applys to classic cars, harleys, ....whatever. I wouldn't buy it for a 1.98. But that's me.

I'm thinking the lister got that student set-up at a yard sale for $30 and is going to make his car insurance payment with the proceeds.Or not....Those MIJ's have to be a wild color to be worth even the $50,at least for me.

You and jonnistix have nailed it. Fifty max. I would offer twenty and maybe hit thirty, but not more.

When I was looking into replicating my first kit (gold sparkle Crown) I saw many MIJ snares go for less than ten bucks on eBay. Having the case is nice, but still.

I just bought this for $78 and thought it wasn't a bad deal. Looks like your stuff other than the finish colour of course.

As an 8 lugger, it is worth a little more. Pray it is a 3 or 5 ply shell, not a 7 or 9. If it is the 5 ply w/rings, you hit a good one. The 5 ply were transitional, as far as I can tell. And they make a sweet snare as the range is huge.
