howdy folks. i haven't been on the site for a while but i'm back to read up on all your drum explorations.
the reason for this post is to see if anyone is interested in downloading free drum related pics i've collected for a long time.
i had a idea of creating a website featuring drum related pics thru history from a personal level. such as a kid's first drum to marching drummers to drum ads to name drummers to celebrity's playing drums and more. for all the people who played drums because they loved it or just tried to make a living at the time. plus it would be fun to play "guess the drum" in those pics. most i personally never seen before.
i believe most of the pics are from maybe the late 1900's to maybe the 90's / 00's with most being from the 20's to the 60's. there's everything from post cards, press pics, ads, artists and more. i think there's some cool stuff.
90% of the pics are from late night internet searches, facebook and forum pics (i had previously asked some members if i could use their pics for the future site and got the ok) and most pics are of good quality and of the largest size possible mostly between 800x800 up to or around the 1000x1000 range (but probably none over say 2000x2000 that i know of) i already deleted bad pics and anything smaller than 800x800 unless its just too cool.
anyway, in the end i just don't have time to do it but i can't seen to just delete the pics, so i figured you guys would like them. i'm sure there's many we have seen before while others maybe not.
i will be using a free service were anyone can download them for free. all are pretty much organized in separate files.
below is a sample of the pics i collected. post a reply to this post below, and if i get a decent amount of interest i'll post a notice when they're all ready.
thanks.
p.s. - in addition, i was going to do another site dedicated to ludwig. this i may still do but it depends on how much free space i can get vs the amount of pics i have to get rid of.
