Well there... always leaning new stuff from you guys, (I love this forum). So what's up with the badges? They look very crispy, but they do clearly say Ludwig. What's up with that? Is this not essentially fraud, or at least, misrepresentation?
Anyone looking for a giant, over-the-top Vista kit!?!

You know, it would really be nice if all of you drum manufacturing experts actually told the rest of us know-nothings why this isn't a Ludwig kit. I mean, if you are going to spend :30 of your precious time posting "this isnt a Ludwig", you might as well spend another :30 posting "this isn't a Ludwig because...".Seriously.
Well, I had already posted that the badges were fake, but I will explain then.

I'll post some pics to show you the differences. Look closely at the jaggady printing on the R and on the USA, as well as the orange peel look of the green and the brushed area extending to the edge.
Blaemire / Jenkins-Martin drums.

One thing I know for sure is that if someone in America can make something that makes them money; someone in China will make the same thing as cheaply as possible and sell it for one tenth the price! I have no credible information but given the well described photograph, I would not be surprised if those came off a big container ship and were distributed via trench coats on street corners......Laughing H
edit**** I was talking about the badges, not the actual drums
Maybe to much caffeine today??? there are many clues one main one is two of the drums have the same serial Numbers for one! two those aren't real ludwig badges, real blue olive badges aren't that color. here is a real ludwig badge, http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/images/badges/ludwig/b-o-no_serial_number.jpg look at this look familiar?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ludwig-Blue-Olive-Restoration-Badge-70s-80s-Drums-/280807442495?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41616d883f
Although I agree that the badges look like replacements, I don't see where the serial numbers are the same on any of them.

This kit which I posted pictures of earlier is featured on the same site as the guy who sells all those Ultra rare vistalite cannister thrones. It is a very cool kit. Not my taste though. But at the risk of insulting the seller I believe it is being misrepresented as an original Ludwig kit. I believe the seller bought it thinking it was an original Ludwig kit. I mean the chances of finding a kit with that rare vista pattern in those Monster sizes with a rail consolette and in mint condition are slim to none. Just my opinion.

Ok, As pointed out the badges are NOT Ludwig..A few more things Ludwig did not do that pattern in 3 colors only a 2 color pattern..Bass drum looks to be a 16" drrp drum not a 14" also the bass has the wrong legs if it was a vintage 70's set the legs would be thin Not fat wrong wrong screws also on the mounts...Mikey
Anybody interested in the matching cannister throne to go with this kit?
