Anyone here good with pearl drums?

Loading...

Hey everyone so I have this pearl kit and I am looking to sell it. I am wondering what series it is from and the approx age. I can't find anything on it so I figured I would go to those smarter than me.

I am currently asking 325 for it and I have someone interested. Is that price good for this kit? It includes everything but the high-hat cymbals.

Pictures aren't that good. But to me it seems the Pearl badge is only a sticker. If I'm right this means that these drums are not vintage at all. More likely they are Pearls cheapest drums from the 90's or even the 00's. Probably made in Taiwan or China. Pearls decent drums from this time usually have a badge with the additional letters like "Ex", Ecx, Dx-series etc...etc...

If I'm right, 325$ is a lot of money for these drums.

Yea I guess I should have put it in the "general" section as I am almost sure they are not vintage or even close. I figured $325 only because it does come with everything and is a good to go package. I paid around there a year ago for them but they just aren't my taste after owning them. Maybe a starter kit for someone out there. From what I have seen, I have seen them as the "export" series but I have no idea if this is true or not.

Export series shold have badges saing "Export series" (if from the 80's or "Ex" if newer). However, with all the stuff included its probably not to expensive.(But close ;)

I don't know about what's current but my kit is an 1987 MX series....maple shells w/ plastic wrap. They had MLX...maple/lacquer finish, BX...birch, BLX..., and the badges were screwed on in the corners,

My kit about bankrupted me then,,,lol..... Tommy Lee got his for free + $250k I heard from a PEARL dealer....

Look like Pearl Forum series. Entry level below the Export series in price and features.

I agree with the above posting.Forum-level Taiwan manufactured drums. It seems some Pearl drums are not catalogued. But,at least the FT and Bass have 8 lugs.

Thank you all much. I would agree they are the lowest pearl drums ever. They sound like it at least.
