Anyone heard of this? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Good day,

I posted this question some time ago, but did not get any responses so I will try again. Has anyone ever heard of a 66 Club Date with a factory Hollywood tom mount. I have looked everywhere, but cannot find any info on this. In reading through the different threads it seems that there were several configurations which are not in the catalogs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Probably a custom order as Club Dates only had a hot dog mount, as far as I know.

You have to be careful here. Club Date was also a model of drum. Depending on the year (for example 1967), there was the Super Classic tom and the Club Date tom (and a couple of others). There were a few different models of bass drums, also. So, as with most things Ludwig, there are many variables. I would nail down the year and check CAREFULLY in the cats to see what might have been available a year or two prior and a year or two ahead. That will help you get closer to an answer.

Does it matter because you are interested in their value for either buying or selling?

Or does it matter because you own them and are just wanting to fill in some historical details?

With Ludwig the more you look, the more you find exceptions. Not all the outfits they delivered were the particular ones listed in catalogs. Particularly back then, the words "manufacturer specifications subject to change without notice" really meant what it says. Plus custom orders were entertained on request...

early club dates also had the clipper hoop mounted tom with no rail or tom holder on the shell itself.
