Anyone have a couple extra bucks?

Oh how funny, I just visited this shop for the first time last week. It was an experience I won't repeat. There were no lights on, the place was all dark. The store is a huge, warehouse-sized, nearly window-less basement. You have to go down a flight of very steep steps to enter it. When I asked if he had any vintage hardware he directed me to the furthest, darkest cornor in the back and still never turned any lights on. He had no other customers and yet he never came back there to help me. I really couldn't see a thing - Weird sense of customer service!

WOW, that's a great story, Michele, I was getting ready to tell you go back and see what you can find and take 3 friends with you, but with the prices I've seen on his site, there won't be no deals coming out of this place!! man that's a great story!!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

I'm thinking maybe I don't get it.Are these better than American Gretsches? Are they different in some way?I don't recall 15 years ago being a watershed in drum construction. Not joking-why all the money? You could build the most incredible Keller Mahogany rering set by hand and have it covered in anything you want, with any hardware for that money. You could buy a BRADY set for that.

You know,I wish any one attempting to open an independent drum shop in N.England the best of luck. Two of our best stores-Donn Carr's and Freddie G's are gone, victims of f'n G.C. G.C.is the reason I deal with Drummaker.com.

I don't think I'd want the guy near me in that dark corner.

There was a kit similar to this at the Vintage Drum Show in CT a couple days ago and they were only asking $1700 or so.
