Anyone familiar with Obelisk Drums?

Loading...

Does anyone have information on Obelisk Drums? They were a custom drum company out of Calgary, Alberta in the 80's and 90's. They used Keller maple shells. My kit has the small brass lug casings and was made in the 90's. I'm wondering if someone would know the configuration used on the shells? The number of plys, bearing edges, etc. I'm selling my kit and there have been some inquiries about the Keller shells.

Thank you.

(Just curious ? ) What's preventing you from counting the plies on your own drums ? (BTW, keep in mind that some makers use different numbers of plies on snare, toms & bass).

Good question and one expected. It is not always clear how many plys there are. I'm no expert so if someone knew for sure that would clarify the issue.
