Anyone ever hear of King's Deluxe drums?

I have a chance to buy these, don't know anything about them. Can't even find anything on the web! Imports I'm guessing, but made by who? Any input is appreciated.Cool1

Are there any badges on the drums?

If so, can we see a pic or 2?

thanks

Cool and unique finish. Ludwig copy lugs. Intresting white wood hoops instead of black. Front logo head intact.

All of this points to BUY!

That's the only pics he gave me. What's a good deal for them? Not a MIJ guy typically, but, if they're rare, I'd jump.

Hi schmegeggie!

Definitely a cool kit! If the front bass drum head is original, then my guess is that it's just another one of dozens of names applied to MIJ kits of the 60's. The floor tom leg brackets look like the same type used for the cymbal L arm on my 60's Crown kit. Tough to really tell about the tom holder, but it could also be the style on my kit as well. Not exactly sure, but I think Crown drums were built by either Hoshino or Star. Others here may know for sure.

Yes, those lugs are not typical MIJ and look great. I also noticed that the rack tom has 5 lugs per side, while the floor tom has 6, as does the bass drum. Based on just the 3 drums, I'm thinking around $150. Does the seller already have a price in mind?

yeah, I contacted him as well yesterday and he gave me the same three pics. Just not into 6 lug bass drums. I do like the wrap though.

The name didn't come up on vintagedrumguide.com's MIJ list.

If you get them, you should swing by Centreville and show them off on your way home to Salisbury.

That's made by Hoshino. Very COOL!

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Very cool kit! The 5 lug tom might be off-putting for me too. I had a 5 lug floor tom and tuning the @#$% thing was like cutting one's own hair.....It can be done, but is it worth it?
