Anyone do re-wraps?

I just bought a Gretsch Round Badge Dixieland from ebay, and it needs a re-wrap.

I emailed Precision, and they can do it, so that's a choice.

But is there anyone who does these re-wraps as a hobby/obsession, like I do with those crazy ol' Speed Kings?

Nothing against Precision, sometimes I just like to keep it among the peeps here.

Yep, I would venture that more than 50% of the members here either do their own re-wraps or have done them in the past.

There are restoration threads galore on re-wrap projects .... some from beginning to end and all points in-between.

Ah, yes. And I'll bet if I started out and got into a jam, I could get plenty of help, right?

Cool1

But just in case I wanted to farm it out...anyone do these for a modest fee??

Your location would help save you some $$ as shipping can kill a deal faster than the glue will dry...

Shipping: I'm in Michigan, 49053 -

And it is one drum only -- a 14 x 5.5 snare.

Simplifies things?
