Anybody looking for a rootbeer snare?

Love the round strainer. My blue sparkle crown has one. Sweet color.

Looking at the glue residue left from where the badge sat, it could be any number of MIJ brands. Check out the list:

The first ten badges are all suspects, judging purely by the shape.
I've never seen a throw like that though, so could be anything.
I've only seen this throw on two snares. Both Crown. I wonder if this was a Tama or Pearl strainer system. What's interesting is both my Crown snare and the one my teacher had with this strainer. They don't have a badge, but rather have Crown painted on in a nice script logo. I'll have to take some photos and post them. It's rather fancy looking.

Throw Looks like a Sonor nutbox?

Aside from missing the badge, that is a decent snare. Rare color - as most 'rootbeer' wraps don't have so much pearl in them. Sure is pretty cool color though.
I have seen these strainers....can't recall if this is Pearl or Star. A look in their catalogs would easily reveal it. My guess is Pearl, as I do not believe Star ever made a strainer like this. Seems like Pearl made more variations of imitations.....of pretty much every part.
I like the rims on here too - Stick savers.

I'll say though. If I were closer, I'd probably pick this up. One of the nicer MIJ snares. And aside the missing badge, it looks to be in really great condition.

Man that color is AWESOME!!
I have two orange sparkle Decca snares (Hoshino)
a white marine pearl Prestige (not 100% sure)
A blue marine pearl Tempro (Pearl)
and a no badge candy cane swirl (I never saw this wrap before I found this drum)
All have the same round throw
so at least two of the three known stencil builders used them here and there
They are cool but there is a rivet used on the connecting linkage
between the lever and the fastener for the snare wires that sometimes wears out
and is hard at least for myself to effect a good repair
I have another white marine pearl snare no badge
with a throw very similar only instead of being completely round
when looking at it straight on
the top edge of the throw where the lever protrudes is flat
only the bottom edge is rounded
Mechanically it is the same as the round one and suffers the same Achilles heel with the linkage
When I got my Crown last winter, the mechanism in the lever was broken. I managed to get it fixed and working flawlessly.
