Been up for a while now.

I'd have no intention of paying anywhere near $400, even if it is decent.

Can any of you pros ballpark the age/model of that kit?

Thanks a ton, as usual.

One of the models made especially for the american market with Beverly lugs.

Are they called 8000 or something?

Mid-70´s, nice thin shells in birch or african mahogany and re-rings in beech. Same hardware (bar the lugs) as any other Premier form the Lok-Fast period.

Pressed hoops unlike an Elite, but like the later Projectors, that used the same lugs.

Snare not Premier, something japanese.

I see absolutely no reason you shouldn´t pay 400$ for it - to me, that sounds very much like a great bargain....these are high quality drums, seemingly in very good condition.

Regards

The 4 Premier drums are good quality-the rest is middle to student range.I'd pay $200-$250 knowing the student stuff would have to be replaced. Are the toms 13/14/16?Dixon pedals-student grade. The cymbals and stands-some so so.The hi hat is OK,maybe the Hi Hat cymbals.

The set is listed in the '75 catalog as the "Powerhouse".

Over here in the UK, where Premier and Beverley stuff is a lot more common, you'd expect to pay £150-£200 for that lot with the current economy - it's a good time to buy. If you don't have a need for all the hardware and cymbals you could always sell that on to make up the difference. Therefore, offering $300 and perhaps meeting the seller halfway to $350 would be reasonable I'd say, as the Beverley shells alone would fetch £100 over here.

That tom holder chokes the life out of those toms so i,d be adding rims to the cost.If he would be flexible i may make the trip out there. The price seems ok and the drums look to be in good condition. Can anyone tell if the cymbals are keepers or traders?

Hit like you mean it!!

The cymbals are impossible to judge from those pics - could be anything.

Seems to be complete and unharmed, though.
