@brody,

are you talking about this one?

http://www.ebay.de/itm/310380998126?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

This ad is of an authorized Premier dealer in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

The ad says that the reissue of the original POL set was called "Spirit of Lily" and Premier obviously made them a short time before the British manufacturing stopped and the factory in England was closed. (I actually don´t know when that happened. Sorry, but I´m no Premier expert!)

They exactly checked the original kit to reproduce it as close to the first issue as possible. It was a limited edition, but the ad tells nothing about the number of manufactured sets.

You´re right, 3 8" x 14" rack toms, two 16" x 16" floors, two 14" x 22" bassdrums and a 5,5" steel-shell snare.

They were only available for a period of 14 months, each month as a tribute to the 14 years lasting cooperation between Premier and Keith Moon.

They were sold for 7.500,- Euros, and are now on for 4.900,- Euros bin - Ralf, you´re right!

Maybe some Premier-"maniacs" or -experts know a bit more about these kits?

Thanks Brody. I took a quick look on the net and looks like in 2006 Premier offered 200 sets over a 14 month timeframe. Spirit of Lilly was what the reissues were called. Wonder if they made all 200 kits? Price looked about the same (a tad less) than the Paice kit.

OK Who freaks....

1)How did the POL kit gets it's name?

2) how did The Who get their name?

Back on track.......

During my MASSIVE research on Premier recently,I read that Ian Paice was looking for a Premier 1960's-1970's 250s pedal in the last year or so,and I also read that That was Moonie's fav pedal,albeit with a Ludwig wooden beater!

Saw DP for the first time in 1968 at Creams farewell tour in LA DP opened for Cream and they tore the house down, it was their very first US show... but Cream was not intininated they played for over 1hour 40 min and it was unreal .. always been a deep purple fan since and i have seen all the lineups except the burn version Mark @ being my fav but the original lineup is hard to beat Rod Evans was a great front man and Richie Blackmore just tore it up back then..

I am so glad others on this forum put Ian Paice high on their list of favorites.So-will someone show me how to play the intro to "Pictures of Home"?His 1972 solo song"The Mule",which is on Y0utube,is the benchmark technicians drum solo,IMHO.Saw him when they toured "The House of Blue Light"album.RB spent more time backstage than onstage.

Absolutely love Ian Paice. He has some seriously quick hands and feet. Saw DP live in 1996 (with Steve Morse) when I was 16. One of the best rock drummers ever.
