If you go over well, you can probably book a nation wide tour of biker bars.:)
I'm not a dedicated country music fan.. but, like vintage drums, there is a great appeal of the classics and the stories behind them.
I've seen David Allen Coe a few times... at the old Charlie Horse Saloon in Lancaster, Ohio in the 80's and once at the Valley Dale Ballroom in Columbus in the 90's....
At the Valley Dale show he got ****ed at some dude trying to get the attention of his girl keyboard player and he jumped off the stage and started duking it out in the audience.
He is country! I think he led the effort to help Johnny Paycheck out of prison when Paycheck shot some dude in a bar fight in Greenfield, Ohio. Rumor was the guy accused Paycheck of eating roadkill.. or something like that.
How cool to get to open for a member of the country music hall of fame! Congrats!!
Heck yeah! Just missed him last summer in Flagstaff, AZ. Hoping he'll swing thru again this year. :)
