Any 1970's Ludwig Drum Set Experts in the House? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Hey all,

I was hoping I could rely on your vintage drum expertise to determine the pricing of my drum set. I have had the fortune of coming into possession of a 4 piece Ludwig drum set made sometime from the 1970s. The heads are a little worn, but the shells are fine and I think the set sounds great. I'm interested in trying to sell this set (sad, I know, but we've had many good years together), but I'm not quite sure how much I should sell it for. I am having trouble attaching pictures (fatal memory error?), but will try to upload them in a reply to this thread. Could anyone give me an idea on how much this set is worth?

Thanks for the help everyone!

I'm trying to upload photos but I get this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4000 bytes) in /home/vintaged/public_html/vintagedrumforum.com/includes/class_image.php on line 1417

Any ideas? Sorry guys :-(

You need to be just a tad more specific..

Yeah, I was hoping the uploaded pictures would do the describing for me, but the site is getting glitchy :-(

Basically it is a four piece Ludwig drum set. The snare is not part of the original set. The original set is a champagne sparkle set, and the snare is a blue sparkle. It is a snare, a tom-tom, a floor tom, a bass, a ride cymbal, a crash cymbal, and hi hat. The Bass has a rack built into it to hold the tom and next to it is a stand (also built into the bass) to hold the ride cymbal. The crash cymbal has its own separate stand.

Actually here's a link to a picture of a drum set that looks exactly like mine. The only thing missing is the stand for the crash cymbal:

Hope this gives a better picture...
