Another "bulk" score...

Loading...

Well, I haven't closed the deal yet, but will soon. 23 "educational" drums in various sizes and condition, all but one is at the very least "usable" (and the one, a drastically damaged Ludwig Acrolite, has very good parts on it!).

Most are Ludwig, but also 1 CD700, a few Premier and a few Corders (with the Fibes style lugs).

So... I need some input. There is one really nice Supra in the lot (probably at least a 8.5-out-of-10), but with a Monroe Badge, S/N 3360106. Any ideas on how its value is vs. an older one? Any market for these?

Also, a very nice 16x32 concert BD (Monroe Badge, 335780).

Oh yeah... here's the one I'm most excited about. Ludwig Pioneer SD, very good condition BDP. Keystone badge #643930 in very good condition. Clear interior date-stamped Aug. 23, 1968. Round internal tone control. The P-83 is broken, but the butt is fine. Batter side rim is bent, snare-side rim OK. The six lugs are fine. :)

Also a transition badge 12x15 Parade SD, but the wrap is shot (gold sparkle) and the badge bent. :(

I should have possession of this stuff in one-to-two weeks. Sorry, no pictures at this time as I forgot to take my camera (and was too old to think about the fact that my phone takes pictures!)

Hey there Bill -

W/ the Pearl kit I bought today there was a Monroe 6.5" supra # 3.1 million {This is what I was talking @ being disappointed w/.} In decent condition like yours sounds it's in, I think 250-300 is a respectable range. I may be mistaken - actually, maybe yours isn't 6.5" so that $ might have to be modified.

I was hoping AT LEAST to have a 70's supra ...

I have hopes for Sunday's Gretsch kit holding hidden suprises -

Chris,

The Supra I mentioned is a 5x14.

There is also another one (same era) that needs some fixin' that might end up being part of the deal, too.

Also there is a Ludwig Rockers 6.5x14 COS(?) MIT SD. It's in really nice shape, but I'm at a real loss as to its value... I'm not thinking much, though. It has the longer bow-tie lugs on it like their coliseum(sp?) models.

The CB700 snare is a "super-sensitive" knock-off. Nice looking drum, but not worth much...

Anything you're interested in for the FG shells? :)

wow Bill thats great!

Im glad you were able to score one of these bulk deals, should keep you wheelin' and dealing for a bit.

BTW, I need a throw off for my Acro when you get possession or if you have one in your stock.

Shoot me a PM with details when you can.

Just closed the deal this afternoon. Will be picking the stuff up either later this evening or more likely tomorrow when I get off work. Will post some pics when I get them... so, watch this thread and the "for sale" for more info.

Picked up a few of the drums this evening and will probably get the rest tomorrow afternoon.

Here are some picks of the 68 Ludwig Pioneer. Yes, it's missing some parts, but nothing I can't place my hands on in my shop.

I've already had one member express interest in this drum, but if that deal don't happen you'll see it in the "for sale" section sooner or later...

Here's the rest of what I picked up this evening.

1) 90s (?) Ludwig Rockers 6.5x14 SD. Needs a new throw-off.

2) Monroe Badge Ludwig Supraphonic 400. Just needs cleaned up. There's one more of these in the lot, too.

3) Late 70s (rounded corner B/O badge) Ludwig Acrolite. Minor fixes & cleanup.

4) On the left: CB700 "Super-Sensitive" SD with "rist watch" style lugs. Missing snares and snare-side head.

On the right: the 2nd Acrolite. Has shell damage, but all other parts are OK.

5) Just two of the many marching drums in the lot. There's more Ludwigs, Premiers, and Corders. Also two NICE Ludwig Challenger BDs.
