Another Premier kit ID request

Loading...

Okay... I bought this kit sight unseen off Crargslist about a year ago for get this, $25.00! At the time I was just looking for something cheap to keep at my apartment to practice on. Needless to say I almost had a hart attack when I un-boxed it and found what appeared to be a vintage Soundwave kit in need of some slight restoration as in new heads, a few t-rods, and some polishing.

Anyways I'd just like to confirm that it is in fact a soundwave kit and get an idea of what year it was made. I don't really care to know the resale value because it sounds badass and is a nice change of pace to my Starclassic.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Pat

Yeah they were a total steal! All said and done I only had to dump $100 total in to it that included shipping heads. The 13" tom was damaged beyond repair during shipping but I was able to harvest the t-rods to use on the 12" and Floor tom.

Do you have a spare "wingnut" from that damaged tom?

In the states those were called 6000/6500 or Powerhouse. In UK they were simply Beverley. They are Premier through and through though. Premier's President owned Beverley and had Premier OEM them. In the US the Beverley name was obscure, so they were badged Premier.

Yours are 75-77 with birch shells. They are entirely *****in and suitable for world domination. Please try to take it easy on the less fortunate.flower

Consider yourself VERY fortunate for getting this kit for so little. I love my Beverley, which is indeed pretty much the same kit as this US version. You can read more about my Beverley here on my blog, if you are interested.

They are the same as Beverleys, yes - but as they wear the Premier badge, they are what was called Projectors in Europe, in the states 6000/6500 or Powerhouse.

Great drums - and what a steal.
