Another Pearl Fiberglass Kit

Loading...

From tnsquint

The concert toms were an add-on which was very common in the 70's thanks to Neil Peart among others. I had a Big Beat kit in wood-fiberglass from about 1977 or 78. I added a 10-12 concert tom set a couple of years later and then a 6-8 a year after that. I had a lot of fun with that kit. I ordered the concert toms with Vari-Set hardware from the factory as opposed to clip mounts. You fiberglass drums are built like a tank and should be really loud! Enjoy them.

Thank you! That is why I can't find them in Pearl catalog because the concert toms are just additional to that set. But when I checked the Big Beat set it comes with 24" BD and my set have only 22" BD. That is really confusing me. Sorry I'm new in vintage stuff, I'm just learning from the net and from all experts here. I really need further info about my set.

Cheers

Awesome!!! Nice and Retro!!! So are you confirming that my set is exactly the same as your set? Year 1977? What is the series name? You also have 22" BD right?
