Another mystery snare drum.....

Loading...

Can anyone help identify this snare? The shell is typical 14 x 5 steel but a bit heavier than the usual. 8 lugs but I'm not sure they are original. I thought MIJ but can't find any similar at all. Also the lug nut is brass which seems a bit up market for MIJ. Thanks :-)

The throw is a generic cheapy that's been added later so I don't have a pic of that.

Thanks!

Sorry... you have to put pics up as ATTACHMENTS , otherwise the thread suffers the fate that yours did: GIGANTIC picture files imbedded within the text box that are impossible to view!, and end up blowing the post right off the page to boot. Here's what you can do:

Send the picture files to my email address which can be found by clicking on my user name here .. I will convert them to attachments and size them, then put 'em up in your post. Or... you can do the same and put 'em up at attachments!

I'm with OddBall. It's CB-700. Baby's first snare drum. Typical beginners snare.

It's a Pearl stencil. CB 700? I have never seen those particular lugs before...at all...on anything. The throw would date it more accurately. And the shell design is after the reeded steel shell, like late 70's and up.

There wasn't a throw on it unfortunately. Those lugs have me puzzled though. Surely if they were as common as CB 700 someone, or everyong would have seen them before?
