Another help me identify this snare thread

Loading...

I recently purchased this snare for the NOB Leedy single flange hoops it had on it. Upon arrival I am baffled as to what brand the shell is. Someone changed out the throw off before, but it is a single piece NOB beaded shell. I put some triple flange hoops on the thing and it sounds awesome.

So it has lugs similar to Rogers bread and butters drawn brass but heavier. The tension rods are slotted round tops. The t-rod threads are not USA or Japanese type metric, so I'm not sure what brand it is.

It's very well made and has just a killer sound.

Joe Luoma looked at it the other day and he was stumped, Mark Cooper thinks it might be something European based on some photos I sent him.

Anyone have any ideas as to what brand this thing is? I don't believe it to be a Leedy due to the lugs and t-rods.

Any chance it could be a Beverley with replacement lugs?

That shell is in great shape.

Is it 1 or 2 pc. shell?

The lugs don't seem to fit the drum.
