I was in Toledo this weekend, and The Drum Depot (great store!) has a used 1964 Ludwig kit in Champagne Sparkle. From what I was told, the guy who owned them bought them new in 1964, and kept them in his basement, and never played them out or gigged with them. He has since had some health problems, and cannot use his left hand anymore, so he decided to sell them. Everything is original, including the heads! It comes with a 20" Original Paiste Formula 602 with an original Camco Sizzler on a Ludwig Flat base cymbal stand. Speed King, "Spur-Lock" 1123-1Hi-Hat Stand (with Paiste Ludwig Cymbals) and an original Ludwig Cowbell, that's the cleanest original Ludwig cowbell I have ever seen. It is a flawess looking kit, and the price is $1800. Not bad, considering the cymbal and the basically showroom condition of the kit!
