This is disturbing. A seemingly perfect Ludwig & Ludwig mid 1930's Silver Flash Pearl (silver spakle) drum that has been molested. Cant see why anyone would do this.
Correction: It's also been re-wrapped but still....

It was done by Nodar Rode! That is one fix that was at least done properly, and may have seriously needed it. I don't like to see that, nor do I generally condone such behavior to vintage drums. But being Nodar, I personally wouldn't mind as much.
The thing though that has always struck me is this. If you buy a vintage drum you are not getting a straight 45 degree edge. If you don't like the sound of a vintage drum buy a new one. Don't re-cut edges, start adding giant vent holes to dry the sound, leave it as it was made. But if you do plan to do it, at least have it done by a professional. It's still not the best route, but better than some of the home made hack jobs we have seen. Such as that one Dynasonic....
Why didn't he put his address, phone number, and cell telephone number there's room left for more writing ???? Hurting

I spewed my ice tea....where's that bottle of Glass Plus.....????
Dang !!!
Ha ha !!! I mean how freaking ridiculous. !!! x-mas3
If he would have put his address on there I bet the vintage drum police would be en-route to his place right now. Laughing H
That guy is like the vintage drum arch-villain and, just like the Joker or Riddler, he leaves outsized clues to his crimes.
Nodar's done some good works in his life. Couple dozen Old K's and a couple couple dozen more Old A's would be hubcaps or ashtrays without his intervention.
p00der deserves the angry mob & pitchforks when drum-ruiners are brought up.
