Doing something you enjoy (restoration) and helping young aspiring drummers that could not otherwise afford a kit...well done! Congratulations to you and all the great people that help out. You're awesome!!

This was another hand laid lacquer and glitter finish. I think I will be dropping by the local Harbor Freight, on the corner about a mile from the house, and picking up an HVLP spray rig for the next round of paint jobs. It has to be easier than what I am doing now.

I mixed some super fine glitter, of many different colors, in with the lacquer, a lot of it, and kept it all stirred up while applying it. I got OK coverage, almost what I wanted, but I really wanted a lighter color for the base, but it is what it is. The base paint is Royal Blue High Gloss Valspar enamel and it worked very well to cover in two coats. Nice finish and I am graterful for the opportunity to do it for the young man. On the day of delivery, I want as many people as I can get to drop a note for the boy so he will see how many people there are that really care for his success.
