Does anyone here have any information on American Master Drums USA?
I have this tom 8x12. The lugs are the same as Gretsch Rocket lugs..they showed up first in the Gretsch 1939 catalog. The badge is a wavy round badge looks like. The round tack is the oldest type Gretsch used for their tom round badges...starting in early 30s. The claws showed up in late 40s.

Would it be out of the question to consider that, way back then, the Gretsch factory produced special runs of drums for music stores or small companies without their own production facilities?

Rogers, W+A, (and probably a few other companies?) used those lugs in the late 30's I think.
