Those look EXACTLY like my MidEast 16 Classic. The hammering pattern is a perfect match. Even the ink stamps are the same. I am now wondering if they are the ones that made them. MidEast is a large musical instrument distributor, mainly student stuff, and got into the cymbal biz in '07 I think, but adding yet another cymbal to the mix at that time almost immediately killed them in the meltdown of '08. They are still selling their other stuff, but cymbals are expensive to floor plan, so they got out in '09. I got my 16 crash, identical to Obops, but with MidEast Classic stamped on it, for $70, shipped, and it was NIB. It is a thin, hand hammered sweet heart! Very dark, yet quick. Nice cymbal. I know it was probably a factory second because it has some of those black spots from casting visible, but it sounds great. It was a stencil from those guys, I just know it. It looks just like the Amedias, ink stamp fonts and all.
