Am I dumb?

I don't like to sell stuff unless I have a real reason to. My particular fancy goes this way and that so I like to keep myself with gear that I like even if it isn't getting a lot of use in the rotation at the particular time. Now if I know that I'm not going to play it anymore that is different.

If you want something new or need to make space or need the money then sell away. Otherwise I'd hold on to it.

DON'T DO IT !!! Mind Blowi..

I sold my '76 bowling ball black oyster 16 years ago and have regretted it ever since.. I'll never make that mistake again..Nothing wrong with keeping an extra kit when you use another more often.. You may end up recording somewhere and end up bringing your Gretsch, and have the producer or engineer request a vintage Ludwig, or something in that scenario.. A different head change would also be interesting and will make the drums sound different.. Now you've read the consensus..

:2Cents:That looks absolutely GREAT, don't do it. If your asking yourself that question there's obviously doubt in your mind.

when i read these "should i sell" threads , it makes me wish i was filthy rich. id buy the kits and keep them safe for when the owner kicks himself in the head for selling. then i'd gladly sell it back to him.

dont sell that beautiful kit man, you'll regret it.

thanks guys

Nice part is I have my own Recording studio, just coming on line actually.

I have space and could always "rent" them to bands looking for that vibe.

Im in love with the set, spent a lot of time restoring it from found on curb to what you see in the pic.

I would keep them. You have them stored in nice cases. No harm no foul. Like Jason said your tastes and bands might change down the road. So even the fact your not really using them now.......this can change. Plus you have the nice SS to go with them on the side there. It's nice to have a few different kits. Each has a unique sound to itself. So if your not hurting for cash keep them. They sure are nice looking and bet they sound fantastic too. Now!............if you ever decide to sell the little old A splash I traded you a few years ago let me know!! I think you have too many cymbals and need to cut a few loose. :D

You can never have too many cymbals, I have 21.

That said if you want that splash back let me know, I barely use it, it IS nice to have a first stamp in the collection though ;)
