What I am wondering is how will direct heat from the floor affect the set?? Or am I being paranoid!! I want to move it closer to my door but that puts the heating duct directly between my Double bass and almost to where the snare stand sits. I was just wondering cause I need to move this Beast forward because of the project of making my Tower Rack at Christmas Time. Or could I close the vent, heat is not important in the room because I am never up in the room except when I practice, the colder the better the practicing will go cause I will be trying to keep warm. i know that it sounds stupid but I just dont know??

a good question, the drums are supposed to be all weather but if they are in direct contact with moisture and heat blowing on them warping could in theory happen,,so a deflector would probably be good enough or close the damper a little ...good luck!
April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
