Alright, what to do with this gretsch tom? Last viewed: 5 seconds ago

So, in order to quench my thirst for a set of round badge Gretsches AND my never ending desire to refurbish and reunite orphan drums, I bought this on ebay for a good price. It has all the origianl parts in average condition (but completely functional) Obviously, it was starlight sparkle, but it has yellowed into something completely different. I actually like the faded color, but I know I will never find a 16 and 22 to match it, so here is the question:

Do I find the other pieces and recover this tom to match? or do I go funky with a mismatched kit?

more info, the edges were THRASHED, so I had to recut them, so originality is already out the window. plus the current wrap has some rash on it...

olddrums, have you ever re wrapped a gretsch shell before?? If not man your in for some fun! under the wrap is linen cloth glued to the shell! really!! and is a bear to remove! with that said you'll never find a match for the tom, SO against my golden rule of re wrapping a good wrap, re wrap this puppy, what color are you going for???

I have seen the posts before about rewrapping an old gretsch, so I have a an idea of what is in store. Fortunately. it's not a big drum! What I rewrap it in would be determined by what I can find the other drums in. Hopefully a cool sparkle, like green or something...

Ironically i just picked up a Starlite 22,13,and i,ve been told that finding a 16 will be like hunting for the golden fleece, but, there must be one or two for us out there somewhere. It is a beautiful color and i cant imagine it ever being re produced anytime soon...good luck
