Today, at a flea market, I obtained an AJAX, Boosey and Hawkes foot pedal in fair condition. I know nothing of this brand. Maybe jonnistix (the best as far as I'm concerned) can help. If any member needs this piece of hardware, let me know.

Nooo, not me, that's British sir! You'll have to get the Brits in on it.
You may find out more about it in this English forum:

Brian. I might be. I am a bit odd in that although I have my favourites(snare pedal hihat cymbals etc.) i like to put kits together as original and play them --often i find thatsome of the hardware or whatever ignored by many is very fine indeed. B&H made a number of different models . i s this the one with the chromed footboard? i am really looking for an Ajax Accelerator. could i get a picture? south_bay@kos.net-----Phil
Dear Calfskin,
Thank you for your reply! The pedal was not chromed but, rather a dull metal. It did have a brass name plate near centre. About a week ago, I dropped it off at a music shop with instructions to give it to a mutual acquaintance. The gentleman has not contacted me yet. I also remember that it had a red leather strap used for pulling down the mallet. I hope this helps. I am almost happy that it doesn't seem to be the one you want.

P.S. I'm sure I could track it down if my friend still has it and doesn't want it.The gentleman is the one who did a fantastic job of re-wrapping my old Supremes.
Brian, probably is an older one. i think they all had single springs but the Ajax Accelerator had a lifted heel very similar to the Trixon pedals, which I find more comfortable. I currently am playing the matching hi-hat stand mounted with 12" Zanchi's ,with my King Bop Cat kit 10x5,6x8,8x8,12x10,14x12----i know it doesn't sound like there is a kick in there but there is. The Accelerator had a hammered blue paint on cast aluminum and clearly cast in were the words Ajax and Accelerator in a racey kind of script. Let your friend enjoy it. thanks; Phil.
I'm British, and I actually have an Ajax foot pedal.
Some pictures may help on any information.
Get some on, and i'll get back to you.
i wish i could provide but i am looking for the pedal -----can only provide the description i did. i think they came out with the Nu Sound products.
That pedal I posted I'm pretty sure comes from a late 1950's early 1960 kit. The rectangular badges were used from 1959-60 .. and changed again before 1965 as a rough guess
