There's two ways to look at it

Vintage- in relation to today's date

Vintage- as a specific time-period (built) category

one constantly shifts, one doesn't

You could have in the latter definition:

Primitive: 1900-1929

Vintage: 1930-1955

Modern: 1956-1978

Post Modern: 1979-1999

etc

Or some just go back from todays date.

and say

" that 1985 Pearl chrome snare is over 30 years old. It's vintage"

The age of greatness the 60 ‘s

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
