Age of Ludwig or WFL bass drum.

Just got my new "Scotch" drum. It's got Bow tie lugs (like a club date) and is red sparkle. The badge is missing though. I can only guess at the age, but it's got a mahogany / poplar / mahogany shell with a raw, unfinished interior.

When did Ludwig (or was it WFL??? Hmm...) leave the inside of these shells raw?
