Confirmed it is brass, thanks for the help everyone! Turns out it did have the B stamp, it was just really hard to see. Now I just have to wait until the 14th for Guitar Center to release their stupid hold on the drum before I can take her home.
Now does anyone have any advice on disassembling and cleaning the Super Sensitive mechanism?
