Acrolite shell

Okay, probably not the smartest question ever, but I have been known to screw things up trying to make them "just right"!

Working on a vintage 60's Acro. The shell is in very good condition...but it looks like it could use a decent wash. (And wax?)

So, what's good to clean it up? The basic Dawn soap and water, mineral spirits.

I'll bet there are things that should definitely NOT be used... lacquer thinner? Acetone?

What's the best way to go?

Many thanks!

Dawn will do the trick, and its a lot safer to use.Just let it soak for around 24 hours, and use a non abrasive cloth or nylon brush for tough spots, rinse well and dry completely.

the finish is anodized. not a ton of things can be done to it. steves methods are right on track. just a good clean and wax should do the trick.
