Saw this today, limited re-issue of the Classic 14x6.5 Ludwig Acrolite. Sweet! B/O badge and all.

Pretty cool, but technically NOT a reissue since the Acrolite was only available in 5x14 size and this finish for years. The 6.5x14 size was an addition to the Acrolite line when they went with the black galaxy powdercoat finish in recent years. The acrolite was never available in this size AND finish. Cool drum, but not a reissue per se.

Still very nice.

How much are they asking for it?

They always have to get it wrong, don't they?

If I'm not mistaken, the '60s NYC School Acro 6-1/2x14 was a 10 lug model.

So in that respect, it is a re-issue

The new one looks simply like a Blackrolite 6-1/2 without the powder coating.

The number of lug casings, the finish on the shell, the depth...these things don't matter so much. What matters is that this is a KILLER snare! Grab one while you can...

All of the 14x6.5 models made were 10 lug. This model I've seen were going for approx. $400.

The models I saw online were in the $400 range as well. Certainly not in line with the original "student line" pricing back in the day, but not a bad price for what this drum is in actuality.
